We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traffic Management Manager to lead our operational delivery across multiple sites. This is a critical, hands-on role for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven background in traffic management to ensure all traffic operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and local authority requirements.

Your Quest!

• Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of 35 Traffic Management Operatives and Supervisors across multiple live sites.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with NHSS12 requirements.
• On-Site Management: Engage directly on-site to provide guidance, resolve issues, and ensure best practices are followed. Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure standards are met and safety is maintained.
• Documentation: Ensure all necessary paperwork, permits, and risk assessments are completed and compliant. Investigate and report incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Problem Solving: Handle real-time issues with confidence and make effective decisions under pressure.

Qualities we will be looking for:

• Lantra NHSS12 certification is essential.
• Proven experience managing large operational teams within the traffic management or highways sector.
• Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, TM plans, and compliance procedures.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities, with attention to detail.
• A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
