The Trade Surveillance Manager role features exposure to multiple risk projects and disciplines working on a range of KPMGs top clients. Working in a diverse team of 12, based around the UK this team is growing with a focus on Market Risk skills and offering an efficient and consultative service focused on mitigating Risk at all levels to our client base.

What will you be doing?

  • We require the individual to lead technical client projects and support internal business development as well as thought leadership relating to market abuse
  • Be able to advise clients on current industry practices and advancements relating to trade surveillance and market abuse controls
  • Keeping abreast of latest trends, cases and new developments in market abuse
  • Working as an SME and being able to manage and upskill junior team members

What will you need to do it?

  • Good understanding of trading businesses and the manifestation of market abuse risks, within sell side investment banks
  • Strong understanding of financial products (cash and derivatives) including the different ways in which market abuse risks can manifest
  • Strong experience of working within Compliance Surveillance (as either a Consultant or within a Bank). We also welcome candidates from Technology teams with experience of working on third party vendors' trade surveillance systems implementation or in-house trade surveillance build
  • Involvement and awareness of model validation of trade surveillance models as well as data quality for Surveillance
  • Good understanding of the trade surveillance vendor landscape, demonstrating awareness of different solutions and involvement in the implementation of these
  • Excellent understanding of key Surveillance policy and procedure documentation
