Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Policy team focuses on enhancing the employee experience and developing best in class people practices firm wide. You will help set and implement a global vision, strategy, operating model to better understand and respond to employee needs and regulatory requirements; as well deliver exceptional employee experience. You will be the go-to expert for time and leave policies, ensuring they meet employee needs and legal standards, are aligned to market trends, and are user-friendly. To be successful you must be comfortable interacting with all levels of management, working independently, leading global project teams, working flexible hours to accommodate global meetings, and partnering with key stakeholders across HR to deliver seamless solutions.

As a Time & Leave HR Policy Advisor - Executive Director in the Human Resources Policy team, you'll drive global strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and ensure compliance with ever-evolving regulations. You will collaborate with senior management, lead dynamic global projects, and partner with stakeholders to deliver seamless, innovative solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the Policy Owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all time away, time regulations, and leave of absence policies. Manage and collaborate with necessary stakeholders, including product partners and legal, to ensure the content, health, and implementation of these policies are optimal
  • Provide expert advisory support for time and leave policies, understanding trends and local/regional nuances. Act as the primary point of contact for the HR Community regarding policy-related inquiries
  • Collaborate with HR Country Heads to understand and incorporate local/regional nuances and regulations, ensuring policies are compliant and manage risks
  • Partner with product teams and actively engage in product routines related to time and leave to stay aligned with priorities and make necessary policy adjustments to enhance employee experience
  • Ensure compliance by staying informed about changes in laws and the regulatory environment Oversee and adjust documents as needed to ensure compliance and adherence to identified risk and control activities, working closely with HR Law to determine actionable next steps
  • Stay updated on market trends and conduct or analyze benchmarking data to inform policy decisions
  • Drive improvement by leading opportunities for policy optimization and simplification; Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proposals for policy changes or the creation of new policies
  • Develop content that is accessible and user-friendly in collaboration with the Content team and guidelines
  • Govern effectively by ensuring global adherence to the firmwide policy governance framework, maintaining the completeness and accuracy of technical and operational aspects of policy management
  • Support control reviews and audits, ensuring all legal obligations are reviewed and aligned with policy updates
  • Utilize data to assess and enhance policy effectiveness (including monthly metrics for country reviews, business reviews)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders, build effective business partnerships, and provide robust advisory capabilities on a global scale
  • Deep understanding of the business implications of policy recommendations, ensuring policies are relevant, understood, and compliant
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment and the ability to interpret legal requirements
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to identify opportunities for policy optimization and improvement
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex policy information clearly and concisely

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proven experience in managing policies, including developing, implementing, and maintaining them throughout their lifecycle
  • In-depth knowledge of time away and leave policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of relevant employment laws, local practices and philosophy; working knowledge of country and local regulatory requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or related field
  • Knowledge of financial and HR-related industry trends
