Description

As a Therapy Dog Volunteer, you will provide emotional support and companionship to our children, young people and families.

Key Responsibilities

Along with your Pets As Therapy Dog, you will be a regular visitor to our hospices and spend time with children and young people who are receiving our care, lifting their mood and boosting their emotional wellbeing.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Skills Required:

  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • The ability to work well as part of a team

Training and Induction:

  • Pets As Therapy or Therapy Dog Registered
  • DBS
  • Online mandatory training and induction

Hours:

  • To be agreed to suit
