Job Title: Test Systems Engineer
Location: Rochester
Salary: £43,000 – £53,000 Depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Working in a team environment with the development of Test Equipment solutions that support the complex and demanding requirements of the diverse variety of Products developed at the Rochester site.
- Understanding customer needs and collaborating to develop, validate and manage requirements
- Co-operative engagement in teams to understand our customers’ needs, specify, design and develop unique test systems using best practice
- Developing Test systems solutions using a formal Engineering approach that maximises reuse and reduces risk
- Integration, analysis and test of test equipment containing multiple technical disciplines, such as electronic, mechanical, optical and software sub-systems
Your skills and experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience developing systems in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as control systems, real time displays, embedded software or safety related systems, using design methodologies such as agile product development
- Experience of conducting Engineering investigations and fault isolation
- Experience of developing theoretical electronic and/or software-based designs, including design analysis, modelling or simulation
Desirable:
- Experience of Test Equipment design
- Proven experience in requirements management, analysis, modelling and/or simulation, using tools such as Siemens Polarion, DOORS®, CAMEO, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB and/or Simulink
The Test Systems Engineering Team:
As part of the Test Systems team at BAE Systems Rochester, you will be working on active projects developing full system solutions used to test and simulate various avionic systems. Test Systems provides equipment used to develop and test components such as Head-Up Displays, mission and flight control computers, and flight controls.
