Job title: Test Equipment Support Engineer

Salary: Up to £45,000 commensurate on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnosing a wide range of complex Special to Type Test Equipment to component level where applicable with limited technical support

  • Influence and deliver design obsolescence tasks, implementing new electrical hardware at Broad Oak and customer locations where required

  • Lead and perform a range of development activities including producing design schemes, circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, design documentation, specification and other test process tasks

  • Compiles and approves Engineering Designs, Changes, Tasks and Concession actions

  • Responsibility and ownership of a selection of in-service support and test equipment

  • Involved in the Design and Safety of the Spearfish and Sting Ray Torpedo Test Equipment, ensuring that work is undertaken in conformance with Company, Project, National and International Standards and Procedures

  • Work unsupervised and work with other Business functions

  • Compiles and publishes Project Engineering documentation

  • Acts as the Company Technical Representative at off-site investigations/trials

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experienced Technician / Engineer – HNC/HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering is essential

  • Proven experience of installation, commissioning, fault-finding and enhanced performance a wide range of common and complex problems

  • An understanding of how their own activity integrates within the wider teams plus an understanding of the work of a design team

  • Responsibility for self-development, and mentoring and development of others

The ISS In Service Support Team:

Maintain and calibrate special to type support equipment to support production test departments. Manage and schedule the proprietary test equipment through the external calibration supplier.
