We're excited to offer the opportunity for a Technology Project Manager who'll collaborate with stakeholders from across the business and be responsible for delivering a broad variety of projects, end to end, including planning, organising, staffing, leading, and controlling activities.

This role will manage several projects concurrently, with a specific focus on projects related to the BHF's technical infrastructure and workplace technology landscape. The role will be required to work collaboratively across Technology and the wider organisation.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you

You'll have a proven track record in hands-on portfolio, programme and project management along with a strategic mind-set. You'll also hold a Project Management qualification in PRINCE2, Agile or both.

With a proven track record and credentials of successful end-to-end delivery of Technology projects, you'll have experience of budget management for projects, as well as previous experience of managing projects that involve a high degree of stakeholder engagement and change.

You'll have experience of writing standard project lifecycle documentation and in working with PPM tools, as well as experience of managing projects involving cloud-based solutions and technologies e.g. SaaS/PaaS/IaaS.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
• An assured, authoritative and confident personality
• A Change advocate and able to hold challenging conversations at all levels within an organization and with vendors, leading on these conversations where necessary
• Adept at stakeholder management
• Able to use your influencing skills to drive change and take the initiative, as a decisive and critical thinker
• Able to take an innovative approach, challenging and changing the status quo
• Able to form good working relationships with non-Technology staff and build credibility
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to build trust and communicate effectively to people of all different technical abilities
