About the Role:
As Technology Infrastructure Manager you will lead the management and support of our operational technology infrastructure across all campuses. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the proactive and reactive support of the University's tech infrastructure, ensuring seamless system operations and high-quality service delivery. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining system health, managing infrastructure changes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to implement improvements and solutions.
What You'll Do:
• Oversee day-to-day health monitoring of BIMM University's technology infrastructure, ensuring any issues are resolved swiftly and accurately.
• Act as the manager for the Technology Operations Senior Advisor and provide escalation support to the Technology Operations Support Manager.
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure issues, maintaining high-quality stakeholder communication in line with SLAs.
• Conduct daily system backup checks, ensuring data integrity and addressing any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Head of Technology Operations to deliver infrastructure changes, upgrades, and manage disaster recovery governance, including regular testing.
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
• Prioritise and manage escalated technical infrastructure tickets to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
• Share knowledge and work collaboratively with the Technology Support Manager to enhance ticket management and support delivery.
• Provide technical expertise and advice to the Head of Technology Operations, contributing to the continuous improvement of infrastructure systems.
What You'll Bring:
• Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-site infrastructure, with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a "can-do" attitude.
• Expertise in Microsoft, VMWare, backup, Cloud technologies, and a strong understanding of networks, including firewall and switch management.
• Knowledge of system backups, disaster recovery processes, and cyber security best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Experience working with 3rd party vendors to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities, and deliver solutions in line with business needs.
• Willingness to travel to different campuses and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
