Narro is an employee-owned structural and civil engineering company based in Scotland and North East England. We're looking for a Technician or a Senior Technician to join our team in our Glasgow city centre office.
Job Description
- An experienced Technician with knowledge of CAD and Revit and experienced in the production of engineering drawings generally.
General Requirements and Attributes for Role
- HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.
- Proven practical & relevant experience.
- Proven knowledge and experience in the use of CAD and knowledge of 3D draughting packages and BIM.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the BIM Manager in the development of BIM protocols and procedures within the Practice.
- Assist the BIM Manager to prepare a BIM operation procedures manual.
- To assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
- Attending site if required and respond to site queries.
- Meeting KPI's, targets and allocated time given on a project.
- Resourcing and managing time.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Drawing production. Ensure drawings are produced in the agreed timescales and to a high quality.
- Technical support to engineers and other technicians.
- Maintain continuing professional development and keep abreast of technical developments and new software.
- Help the company to be profitable and raise profile with external clients through key relationships.
- Be involved in and contribute to decisions affecting projects and the Practice.
- Report to Section Leader on all technical and welfare issues as necessary.
- Work individually and as a project team member efficiently, professionally and in a helpful manner.
- Assist in the training and development of junior/trainee technicians.
