We are looking for a curious and creative Designer to join our team of designers, technologists and facilitators. The ASE supports Capgemini's strategic priorities through designing and delivering collaborative workshops and creating visual products that are focused on driving business outcomes and sustainable futures.

We are looking for innovative and technology passionate individuals wanting a career in the IT industry. You'll join a vibrant team of facilitators, designers and technologists. We deliver from two specially designed locations in London and Telford, from client sites, via mobile delivery, and remotely to support digital engagements.

This is a hybrid working role, you should expect to be in our London office 2-3 days a week and will travel to our ASE in Telford office, or client site when required. You have the flexibility to travel and will sometimes work long hours whilst on ASE deliveries.

Your Role

As a Technical Specialist, you'll play a hands-on role at the heart of the ASE, shaping the digital experience behind every engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your event or technical background while developing new skills across cutting-edge collaboration technologies.

You will be involved in:

  • Get hands-on with the technology that powers our events, learning to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance our setups for world-class collaboration in person and remotely.
  • Partner with ASE colleagues to help them use, test, and maximise technology, becoming a trusted go-to expert who brings confidence and clarity to the team.
  • Contribute ideas to our tech strategy and support innovation projects. You'll have opportunities to lead or be part of project teams exploring new tools, ways of working, and digital experiences.
  • Work closely with technology partners to explore new tools and solutions that improve operations and elevate client experiences.
  • Train and support others across a range of digital technologies - A/V, streaming, lighting, hardware, software, and specialist ASE tools-helping to build a confident, tech-savvy team.

As an ASE Co Designer you will learn and deliver through a wide variety of roles that are required to run a successful event. Teamwork and flexibility are key as you adapt to the needs of each engagement, whether delivered in person or digitally.

  • Showcase content in versatile formats tailored to diverse learning styles, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all
  • Design collaborative spaces, digital or physical that ignite creativity and maximise productivity
  • Create thought-provoking assignments with powerful questions that spark meaningful dialogue and action
  • Shape immersive soundscapes that energise the room and set the perfect atmosphere for collaboration
  • Craft distinctive visual identities and striking graphics that set the tone and elevate every workshop experience
  • Capture presentations in real time with dynamic, engaging visuals that transform ideas into impactful stories

As a member of the ASE team, you will also support the running of the venture. This may include contributing to or leading activities such as managing delivery environments, developing team culture, or improving how we report and share our business impact.

Every engagement will be different, delivered with a diverse and highly motivated team. Your days will be fast-paced, requiring close collaboration with colleagues and clients to support the successful delivery of projects and collaborative events

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is excited about collaboration and has a curiosity and passion for technology - who is keen to explore innovative technical solutions which keep ASE delivery at the cutting edge.

We value diverse career paths and welcome application from individuals with equivalent industry experience or relevant formal qualifications.

  • Confidence with A/V, streaming, and event-tech ecosystems (hardware and software)
  • A strong and demonstrable passion for current and emerging technology and digital trends
  • A curiosity and a problem-solving approach to technical challenge, demonstrate a collaborative style, calm under pressure, and a passion for creating memorable experiences
  • The ability to respond quickly in a changing environment, meeting tight deadlines and high standards
  • Awareness of the O365 suite (including Teams), Adobe Suite and/or experience in other video-conferencing and digital collaboration tools (such as Mural)

Your Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
