Technical Services Manager - Electrical Bias

A leading engineering maintenance provider with a strong industry reputation are seeking a Technical Services Manager to oversee the operations of a 300,000+ square foot commercial site based in the City of London. In this role, you will manage a large engineering team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site while reporting directly to the Account Manager. The business turnover £80M & have been operating within the City of London for well over 30 years, they have a great reputation for delivering hard services contracts within the build environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day engineering team and ensure KPI's and SLA's are met in accordance to agreements.
  • Responsible for overseeing HV works and yearly shutdowns across the site
  • Responsible for managing water treatment log-books
  • Conduct regular site inspections, address issues promptly, and ensure planned maintenance is completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and consultants to implement effective maintenance and repair programs.
  • Maintain site records (e.g., asset registers, plans, testing schedules) and act as needed.
  • Build strong tenant relationships, resolve operational concerns, and lead tenant meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, including audits, emergency plans, fire drills, and environmental policies.
  • Liaise with local authorities and oversee major work programs, coordinating contractors and stakeholders.
  • Produce management reports and oversee contractor performance to ensure adherence to standards and contracts.
  • Manage and train onsite staff, conduct performance reviews, and set objectives.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with business needs.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve M&E issues, providing technical support and collaborating with contractors.
  • Hold regular meetings with M&E and lift contractors to ensure preventive maintenance and performance standards are met.
  • Approve permits, review documentation, and ensure contractor compliance with site protocols.
  • Manage landlord M&E projects and oversee tenant fit-out works to protect systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide engineering team support, drive energy efficiency, and uphold high engineering standards.
  • Ensure competency of 3rd-party specialists and engineering staff while fostering a culture of sustainability
