Job Title: Technical Senior Analyst
Location: Ossett, Wakefield
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Competitive, ranging from £25,943 to £37,000, based on experience and expertise for the ideal candidate

About Us:

We are a leading life sciences company seeking an experienced Technical Senior Analyst to join our fast-paced laboratory in Ossett, Wakefield. If you have significant ICP instrumentation experience in a high-throughput laboratory environment and are ready to contribute to a committed team, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Validating analytical methods and assisting with non-routine testing
  • Ensuring methods are efficient and effective, in line with UKAS 17025 standards
  • Troubleshooting analytical instruments and resolving technical issues
  • Interpreting and reporting on complex analytical data
  • Collaborating with the Quality Manager to monitor proficiency testing schemes

Required Experience:

  • Laboratory Work - We are looking for candidates with a proven background in laboratory environments, particularly in high-throughput testing. Your ability to work efficiently in a busy, results-driven setting is essential.
  • UKAS Laboratory - Experience working in a UKAS 17025-accredited laboratory is a must. You'll be familiar with working to the highest standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • ICP Instrumentation - Expertise in ICP instrumentation is critical. You should have hands-on experience with ICP analysis, troubleshooting, and method optimisation. Experience with high sample volumes and non-routine testing is highly desirable.

About You

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific field
  • Significant experience in method development and validation
  • Strong background in laboratory or technical environments, with proficiency in handling new instrumentation
  • Knowledge of proficiency testing schemes and quality management systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to critically evaluate scientific data and drive process improvements
