Technical Senior Analyst - Inorganic Chemistry

Location: Ossett, Wakefield
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Starting from £25,943

ALS Laboratories is seeking a Technical Senior Analyst to join our department in Wakefield. If you have a strong technical background working with ICP instruments, validation experience, and a passion for working with cutting-edge instruments, this could be the role for you!

We're looking for someone who can provide expertise in method development, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring our team delivers high-quality results. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Validating analytical methods and assisting with non-routine testing
  • Ensuring methods are efficient and effective, in line with UKAS 17025 standards
  • Troubleshooting analytical instruments and resolving technical issues
  • Interpreting and reporting on complex analytical data
  • Collaborating with the Quality Manager to monitor proficiency testing schemes
  • Providing technical support and representing ALS in external technical groups

About You

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific field
  • Significant experience of ICP instrumentation
  • Significant experience in method development and validation
  • Strong background in laboratory or technical environments, with proficiency in handling new instrumentation
  • Knowledge of proficiency testing schemes and quality management systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to critically evaluate scientific data and drive process improvements
