LOCATION: Reading, Hybrid
THE ROLE:
The overall role of the IGEL TRM is to cement a close working relationship between IGEL
and the customer, helping them to strategically develop their adoption of IGEL technology solutions. The TRM provides a central focal point between the customer and the various functional divisions within IGEL.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term strategic relationships with enterprise customers.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring successful deployment and expansion of IGEL solutions.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer and continuous enablement on IGEL technologies.
- Manage and escalate complex support issues through to resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between customer and IGEL Product Management for feature requests.
- Guide and validate customer projects, upgrades, and implementation strategies.
- Create and maintain detailed customer account plans, including infrastructure documentation, project timelines, and strategic roadmaps.
- Understand customer environments and provide recommendations to enhance performance, stability, and efficiency.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities based on customer needs and IGEL's portfolio.
- Apply IT service management and project delivery best practices (e.g., Scrum, ITIL) to structure customer engagements and ensure operational excellence.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical skills
- At least 5 years of experience directly supporting enterprise customers in a technical relationship, consulting, or systems integration role.
- Solid background in virtualization technologies (e.g., Citrix, Omnissa, Microsoft AVD).
- Hands-on experience with desktop and application virtualization platforms (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft RDS).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, 802.1x, RADIUS).
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing IGEL solutions in a production environment.
- Familiarity with directory services such as LDAP and Active Directory.
- Competence in troubleshooting across Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.
- Understanding of database systems such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle is advantageous.
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., VCP, CCA/CCP, MCSE, RHCA) are highly valued.
Project & Service Management:
- Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success in planning, managing, or contributing to technical project delivery.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; comfortable working independently.
- High degree of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude and customer-centric approach.
