As a Technical Project Manager III in Client Reference Data and Entitlements team within Securities Services Technology, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Applying a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential to developing innovative solutions, along with leveraging analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects that shape the future of the firm.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong experience in technical program/project management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience in managing Scrum/Kanban boards, refining epics & stories in JIRA, maintain and grooming a healthy backlog of stories ready ahead of sprints, drive effective discussions with tech leads on stories for functional requirements, story estimations with dev/tech leads
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities.
  • Proven experience in analyzing and mapping AS IS business processes, gathering functional requirements, running ceremonies especially PBR (Product Backlog Review) & ABC (Accelerated Business Cases), agreeing periodic deliverables & maintaining roadmap, raising engagement requests & interlocks with other tech teams
  • Experience with Release Management - working with interfacing tech teams on deployments, Change requests creation/approvals (experience with Service Now is a plus), coordinate with prod dev/ops/business users on post deployment PVT (Production Verification Testing)
  • Experience working closely with Operations on process optimization/improvements and automation is a must. Having worked on automation using new cutting edge tools and tech like AI/ML, LLM models is a big plus
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Testing/QA - Experience in performing integration testing before handing over to users for UAT. Coordinating for UAT with users, getting test scripts in BDD format from the users, defect management
  • Data analysis skills is a plus - SQL skills, use of swagger to query APIs, performing analysis of high volume data and payloads to present to business to make key decisions
