The Prime Video Marketplace Retention team is on a mission to delight customers by ensuring they get the best value for their purchases. We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to take the lead in launching new Prime Video retention features across Prime, Prime Video, our third-party Channels offerings (such as Paramount+ and Discovery+), helping in reducing voluntary churn. You will think big, enable new business opportunities, drive clarity, solve problems and influence the architectural strategy of complex technology initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities include all aspects of the program management process from planning, initial requirements gathering, engaging with engineers to find the right solution, and then on to implementation, launch, and planning further iterations. You will frequently engage with business development, marketing, product, UX and technology leaders to mitigate risks, align dependencies, and to influence prioritisation decisions. You will ensure that we are building the right product for our customers. You will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and improvements with the reward of seeing your contributions benefit millions of Amazon customers worldwide.
A day in the life
You will work across multiple Amazon teams to manage programs that improve the value that Prime Video customers get out of subscriptions. You will own the scoping, execution and further iterations of features that deliver success for your program. You will have visibility with senior leadership across Amazon. You will drive clarity with the team in ambiguous situations and you will communicate updates, highlight challenges and influence the business and technical strategy via written documents for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About the team
Within Prime Video, the Subscriptions Retention team is responsible for ensuring that our customers are always getting the best value for their subscriptions including sport league passes. We are a full stack team who work on data modelling technologies, middle tier services and customer facing experiences for web, living room devices (smart TVs, gaming consoles etc.) and mobile apps (iOS, Android) to our customers in 200+ countries.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
