Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Construction Economics, Urban Planning and Real Estate Development, Quantity Surveyor, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management or related fields.
  • Experience with contract management, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Experience in Coordination, Scheduling, Planning, or Scoping.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with capital planning, project controls, procurement, contract management, and project management technology.
  • Experience with supply chain and construction planning.
  • Experience negotiating terms and contracts with network infrastructure providers, service providers, and contractors.

About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing policy and governance to deliver performance management, this includes planning, tracking, and reporting on portfolio expenditure, progress, and risks to enable successful cable landing station development. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. You will also ensure all projects adhere to Google's standards and policies, operating within established guidelines to deliver this critical infrastructure for Google's global network.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain processes and systems to track program and project progress against key milestones and deliverables.
  • Implement and maintain a financial tracking system to monitor project expenditure against agreed GMP, track budget allocations, analyze cost variances, and identify savings and opportunities through monthly and quarterly financial reviews.
  • Oversee regular schedule reviews to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Implement a centralized document management system to store, organize, and version control project documentation in compliance with ONI requirements.
  • Implement and maintain a proactive risk management system to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the GMP commercial strategy, ensuring project objectives are achieved within the defined parameters.
