DESCRIPTION
The AGI team is looking for experienced Technical Program Manager to help us expand our engineering operations that follow expansion of our customer base. This is a high visibility role that will require working with several engineering teams to help streamline operations and deliver greater experiences to our customers at a high velocity. You will be a point of contact for coordinating large-scale initiatives across the larger Amazon Devices organization. This includes services infrastructure initiatives, programs to increase efficiency & reduce costs, and helping to solve scaling challenges, to name a few.
As a technical program manager, you will be one of the key leaders on the team and have an impact by defining strategy & requirements, developing processes & schedules, and driving forward progress on major initiatives. This will require regular communication with program stakeholders and executives.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple competing cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale
- Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis
- Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
- Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs
- Work with software development managers and solution architects to help define scope of products and enhancements we will be building
- Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience in system design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
