We're seeking a team member for the role of Technical/ Product Manager to join our Corporate Trust - Structured Finance Product Management team. This role is located in London, and will work a Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Responsible for collaborating with internal & external stakeholders, identifying items to make up the product backlog, and working closely with cross functional teams to address items that improve on the successful delivery of the product.
- Product Execution: Part of a team that evaluates products within the Structured Finance offering (ABS, MBS, Conduits, Repacks) under the Product Operating Model framework.
- Establishes the strategic approach with input from the business and market factors the development of product enhancements to continue to grow our business.
- Manages the product life cycle from development through marketing. Evaluates suggested areas for enhancement of new/innovative features and identify the most viable options to pursue
- In collaboration with senior stakeholders, identify the key products of strategic importance to the firm and the long term goals for the product offering
- Able to negotiate the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to focus resources on opportunities. Able to identify and work through challenges and communicate effectively in written and verbal means.
- Experienced in working with cross functional teams including front office sales/relationship management, legal/risk, client service, operations and enterprise functions (finance, compliance).
- Customer Insight: Comfortable working with all levels of client stakeholders to drive effective delivery. Able to define proper measurement to analyze the impact that our focus has in improving a process or expanding a product offering.
- Collaborates with Engineering and the business with clarity of business requirements into product strategies and roadmaps, with a focus on delivering digital solutions for BNY clients and users.
- Works with cross functional team to make recommendations on the right next steps. Partners with managers to identify when to gather feedback from users in order to drive more effective decision-making.
- Participates in creating documentation required for Agile ceremonies, Sprint cycles and work with other product teams to identify Product Increments (PI's) and related agile concepts
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; MBA, CFA, a plus.
- Number of years' experience in product management, with a recent focus on Capital Markets experience within a Financial Institution, Corporate Trust, Fin Tech or similar, infrastructure provider
- Direct knowledge in the Securitization marketplace including the Asset Backed, Mortgage Backed, Repacks, Conduits and related offerings
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences utilizing various mediums.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform product resolution.
- Familiarity in working with the Platform Operating Model including the adoption of Agile concepts to manage our business.
