As a Technical Product Manager in the Platform team, you are responsible for driving the strategy and development of robust, resilient and scalable platform services and capabilities that

Job responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategy for a set of platform products, services and capabilities, based on a deep understanding of customer needs, industry landscape and regulatory environment.
  • Conduct market research to understand target customers and their needs and pain points. Conduct competitor analysis and use data insights to understand competitive landscape, best practices, patterns and trends to shape the product and inform product choices.
  • Define objectives and key success metrics for the product. Define what good looks like across all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Define and clearly articulate technical product requirements and translate them into product features that are aligned to business goals and customer needs. Collaborate with engineering teams to define product architecture and design.
  • Create and manage the product roadmap. Drive a prioritized backlog of technical initiatives and deliver, in partnership with engineering, on the agreed objectives all the way through to scaled launch, communicating your team's progress to all stakeholders.
  • Continuously measure and analyze product performance, adoption, engagement and customer feedback to drive incremental, high-cadence improvements.
  • Drive adoption of frameworks, tools and services built by the Platform team through advocacy and education to the wider engineering organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Design, Engineering, Data, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Commercial teams to drive the product to success.
  • Act a subject matter expert on the Platform, representing the product to internal stakeholders and customers, and providing knowledge and training to multi-disciplinary teams as needed.
  • Be hands-on, navigating high level strategy down to implementation-level details, and delegating as necessary to build your product and take it to market successfully.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant technical product management experience in a technical product or platform space, with a track record of delivering excellent results. Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to launch.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to understand and break down complex systems, processes and technologies so they can be understood, and communicate this to other people within the organization.
  • Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills - including the ability to successfully partner with Product Management, Engineering, Infrastructure, Design, Go To Market teams, influencing key decisions across the organization. Proven experience working with engineering teams.
  • Strong communications skills - excellent written and verbal communication, summarize and express complex requirements with clarity and precision.
  • Curiosity and ability to think "outside the box", while applying a rigorous, data-led disciplined approach to product management and innovation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment. Methodical and patient, able to sequence change.
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn and eagerness to teach. Comfortable in uncharted waters and a level of ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Comfortable working within a geographically distributed team.
  • Experience in fintech is beneficial but not mandatory.
