We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Insurance and Money Services team to help us deliver and own the technical roadmap of our core Data Platforms, Data Integration and API technology stacks. You'll be responsible for setting the vision for the Platforms and creating alignment between technology and customer areas.
Leadership Role: As a Technical Product Manager, you'll work across engineering, architecture, QA, technology operations and product teams to ensure our technology roadmap plans are fully understood, fit for purpose and aligned to deliver the customer roadmap
Influence on Direction: You'll help set the technical direction and drive through improvements, features, and changes while delivering on committed product changes. This allows you to make a significant impact on both the technology products and the engineering teams.
Mentorship Opportunities: You'll work closely with the Technical Product Owners providing a chance to share your technical knowledge and help others grow.
Collaborative Environment: We encourage all colleagues across the disciplines to share new ideas, challenge existing practices, and look for opportunities to improve their teams and the wider community creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Subject Matter Expertise: You'll act as a technical subject matter expert across the product management teams allowing you to showcase and further develop your expertise. You'll be able to assess emerging technology patterns and be able to make recommendations based off your expertise
What you'll be doing
•Creating and owning the technical roadmaps for API services, Data Integration and core Data Platforms - covering batch and file transfer services
•Ensuring alignment across product and engineering teams so that technical improvements and correctly prioritised to allow the business to grow - while balancing product changes
•Working with both solutions and enterprise architects to shape the technology choices to optimise our business
•Defining and owning the quality metrics for API and Data across Insurance and Money Services
•Owning the roadmap and ensuring alignment to strategic direction for APIs, Data Platform and File Transfer Technologies
•Ensuring that the overall strategy for platforms is well understood and articulated throughout the enterprise
We need you to have
•Demonstrable experience of a technical leadership role in a medium to large enterprise organisation
•Knowledge of architecture and engineering best practises
•Good knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
•Skilled people management and leadership capability displaying excellent judgement and latitude in decision making.
•Commercial understanding of business strategy and its impact on technology.
•Strong communication skills at all levels across the organisation.
•Experience of agile methodologies and processes
