About the role

SurrealDB is on the lookout for an experienced Technical Product Manager. Working closing with all our engineering teams, this role is essential to ensure we are hitting our product goals and will sit over all of our product offerings. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be translating his vision to a clear deliverable roadmap. This is a London based role only (or within easy commute of London for 3 days in the office a week)

What you will do

• work directly with the Co-Founder and CEO to ensure we are on track to deliver what we promise to our customers
• help break down the product roadmap into digestible chunks (using story points, sprints or equivalent)
• be accountable for communicating clear deliverables to the wider company and ensuring timelines are stuck to
• clean up the product backlog to ensure we are prioritising things effectively to avoid extra costs and time
• conduct market research, identify user stories and conduct capability analysis regularly to feedback to the CEO in order to inform the product roadmap
• communicate product vision, strategy, and updates to internal and external stakeholders

About you

• Worked with multiple deeply technical products previously, preferably database and cloud
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex product development projects
• Strong understanding of database and cloud technologies
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts
• Experience working in startup or scaling companies with competing product demands
• Experience with a broad range of customer requirements from individual developer up to large enterprise
• High level of integrity and commitment to quality
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, experience working directly with a technical founder is a bonus
