Job Title: Technical Operations Manager
Location: Coventry, UK
Core Hours: 08:00-16:35 (Mon-Thu) 08:00-15:10 (Fri).
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Permanent and Onsite
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (subject to experience)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Enhance systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, overseeing the technical representatives and Vehicle technicians, providing resources across multiple contracts to support both production and technical services
  • Provide customer feedback on progress and contract status through reports and face to face meetings.
  • Uphold health and safety guidelines and enforce compliance.
  • Monitor employee and team performance, offering coaching, training, and feedback for improvement.
  • Support budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet strategic goals.
  • Support quality assurance measures for products/services and monitor production KPIs.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products.
  • Oversee staffing plans, recruitment, and training.
  • Report on operational efficiency to Operations Director

EXPERIENCE

  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of military vehicle systems, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Prior hands-on experience with military vehicles is essential.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and military personnel.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise messages for diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to efficiently address and resolve technical challenges.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to military bases or operational environments as needed, with the ability to adapt to different working conditions.
