We are recruiting for a Technical Operations Manager and Engineering Governance Lead to join our team in London on a permanent basis. As a CBRE Technical Operations Manager and Engineering Governance Lead, you will lead the implementation of a globally aligned engineering strategy for the client. Leverage the expertise from the global team to deliver best in class engineering services to the client providing risk mitigation, maximum uptime, continuous improvement, increased energy efficiency and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff.
• Ensure the correct people, process and systems are in place for CBRE Engineering delivery to be Statutory Compliant across all locations. Lead the strategy for gap analysis and continuous improvement.
• Drive the delivery of CBRE work order management in job planning, self and vendor delivered hard services, use of CMMS and reporting.
• Provide support and guidance for all Engineering teams across all locations
• Audit sites to verify contractual compliance with all technical operations across these locations
• Ensure the Strategic Asset Management function improves quality of Operations and supports lifecycle and capital replacement.
• Support data provision for regional engineering audits by customer teams.
• Based on analysis of audit finding, provide training and support to the regional engineering teams to improve audit outcomes
• Support Global Engineering Director to develop the Engineering teams in region and drive consistent engineering outcomes.
• Act as part of Regional Engineering Leadership Team, contributing to regional meetings
• Undertake CRM (customer relationship management) activities with key members of the client organisation, specifically around audit activities to improve customer confidence in engineering delivery the account.
• Understanding of engineering operations, and as necessary support regional delivery
Experience Required:
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Multi country and critical environment/data centre experience (preferred).
• Strong technical qualifications with good knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical systems
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in Building Services, including management of Critical Environments such as Data Centres.
• Have a positive and proactive approach to work and able to work own initiative and as part of a large account team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Robust, assertive and dynamic attitude towards achieving results and delivering high quality service.
• Significant experience in managing and leading teams during building power downs and Integrated Services Testing
• Ability to operate as a respected member of a small, closely knit management group
• Ability to work as part of a team, respectful of other members' contributions whilst leading & persuading to achieve results
• Strong change manager and able to lead programmes to implement technical best practice
• Strong influencer and contractually astute and able to work within the confines of contractual requirements and budgets
