Purpose of the Role
Join the Production Planning- Paint team as the Technical Manager- Facilities where you'll be responsible for the process planning and project implementation of paint shop facilities, equipment and tooling, and play a pivotal role in driving project implementation to support our Beyond100+ efforts! Reporting into the Senior Process Planning Manager, your main responsibilities include;
- Identifying of new facility, equipment and tooling to meet EG future product requirements
- Leading planning and implementation of the New Engineering Workshops facility
- Provide justification for Capital investment in facility, tooling and equipment (replacement and future)
- Identifying efficiency gains via the introduction of new facilities, tooling and equipment
- Managing external facility providers and on-site Service contractors
- Controlling of annual facility, tooling, equipment expenditure cover in the EG/W Cost centre budget
- Providing Technical Support to the EG/W Team on facility, equipment, tooling related issues
About the Team
Our team of 13 highly skilled engineers sits within the Manufacturing Engineering function, playing a key role in driving Bentley's Beyond100 strategy towards sustainable, innovative luxury mobility. We work at the heart of production, developing and improving processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and future readiness. About you - Skills and Experience
- Experience of facility management and improvement
- Experience of facilities project management
- Knowledge of Purchase/CAPEX process
- Knowledge of Site Planning process
- Understanding of environmental and Process audit
- Understanding of group security standards
- Experience of introducing new technologies and systems into workshops
- Experience within a Paint environment is preferable but not essential
