About the Job

LHC Procurement Group (LHCPG) is looking for a Technical Manager to lead on the development and implementation of housing and construction frameworks, with the support of the Group Technical Manager, including offsite manufacturing and net-zero carbon solutions. In this role, you will support regional teams, ensuring technical compliance and providing expert advice to clients and suppliers. As a sector expert, you will champion innovation and best practices in Modern Methods of Construction, reinforcing LHC PG's reputation as a premier public sector framework provider.

What You'll Be Doing

Technical Expertise & Framework Development
• Develop technical specifications, tender criteria, and KPIs to support procurement frameworks.
• Evaluate tender submissions, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of industry advancements, providing expert guidance on MMC, offsite construction, and net zero solutions.

Client & Supplier Engagement
• Support regional teams in engaging with clients and suppliers, ensuring technical requirements are met.
• Provide technical advice and training on construction regulations, best practices, and LHC PG products.
• Represent LHC PG at conferences, workgroups, and networking events, promoting innovation and best practice.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Monitor the performance of frameworks, collecting and analysing data to ensure value for money and compliance.
• Support clients and suppliers in resolving technical queries and addressing project challenges.
• Deliver presentations and briefings to stakeholders, be they contractors, suppliers, or public sector clients.

What you need
• Proven expertise in new build construction, including residential, offsite manufacturing, and net-zero carbon projects.
• Experience in technical roles within the built environment, managing and delivering complex construction programs.
• Strong knowledge of construction project management practices, methodologies, contracts, and contract management.
• Understanding of statutory requirements, including preambles, schedules of work, contract sum analysis, planning, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
• A relevant technical qualification in construction or a related field.
• (Desirable: Experience in stakeholder management, public sector procurement, and publicly scrutinised documentation. MRICS or MCIOB qualification and degree-level education.)
