We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Manager to join our team and lead the technical department in maintaining our commitment to product quality and compliance.

Role Overview

In the position of Technical Manager, you will oversee all technical facets related to product quality, food safety, and compliance within our operations. You will guide a team of technical experts, spearhead initiatives for continuous improvement, and ensure our products meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements. This position is critical for consistently delivering outstanding products to our customers while upholding the integrity and reputation of the Albert Bartlett brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Technical team to ensure adherence to food safety standards, quality systems, and legal requirements.
  • Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance and control programs to uphold high product standards.
  • Supervise product specifications, ensuring they align with customer, regulatory, and industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections, preparing the team for external reviews.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, processes, and food safety.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address quality-related challenges and promote product innovation.
  • Deliver training and support to staff on quality management practices and food safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a technical or quality management position within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards (such as HACCP, BRCGS) and quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to supervise and nurture a technical team.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, coupled with a proactive attitude toward problem resolution.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities for effective teamwork and report generation.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, adept at managing various projects and competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance obligations and industry best practices.
