Your new role

As our new Technical Director (MEP) Healthcare, you will support the UK Healthcare Lead to develop the growth of the UK Healthcare Team. You will be working with our existing team focussing on projects throughout the UK, with opportunities to support international healthcare projects. You will have a focus on achieving first class technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care and will support the team to continue the growth of our multi-disciplinary services within the Healthcare sector.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Provide leadership and management of our MEP technical delivery teams
• Accountability of the delivery of MEP advisory and design services
• Raise Ramboll's profile and reputation within the Healthcare sector, both nationally and internationally
• Support Ramboll's leadership team to identify and track new project opportunities and convert them to appointed projects
• Lead large, multi-disciplinary project teams to successfully deliver healthcare projects
• Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians within the healthcare team and working on your projects
• Understand the healthcare sector on a national level and maintain awareness of connected policies and sector trends
• Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
• Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality design and advisory services

• Must have demonstrable experience with
  • UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK
  • MEP engineering design team leadership
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
• Professional membership of a relevant institution
• Background in consultancy or contracting, delivering MEP advisory and design services for major healthcare projects, from initial concept through to completed technical design
• Demonstrable appreciation of sustainable design
• Excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
• Sound commercial experience and judgement
• Client centric approach
• Excellent leadership qualities
• Passion for business growth and expansion
• Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
• Manage your own projects and act as MEP project director, managing resources and co-ordinating tasks
