About the Job you are considering:

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong expertise in data management and banking & capital markets. The role involves working closely with business and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions for trading, risk, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the banking and financial services sector.

Your Role:

  • Work with business and technology teams to define data‑driven solutions for banking and capital markets.
  • Gather, analyse, and document requirements for trading, risk, regulatory, and operational processes.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, including user stories and logical designs.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
  • Develop BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and data models to support solution delivery.
  • Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation for regulatory reporting and system enhancements.
  • Liaise between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with product owners, data engineers, QA, and project managers to ensure successful solution rollout.

Your Skills:

  • Strong understanding of banking and capital markets across key data domains (Instrument, Party, Product, Trade, Reference Data).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements, especially in EMEA.
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, stakeholder interaction, and Agile delivery.
  • Ability to create high‑quality BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, data modelling, ETL concepts, and data governance.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Added advantage: experience with Data Factory, Databricks, and banking risk/trade platforms (Murex, Calypso).
