Job Description: Technical Bid Manager
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Technical Bid Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in coordinating competitive offerings to our clients. You will collaborate with colleagues across the globe and the organisation, working closely with account and sales managers to coordinate bid strategies and discuss priorities and actions. Your responsibilities will include leading all aspects of projects from concept phase to execution, liaising with engineers, project managers, and other bid managers. You will also be involved in coordinating kick-off meetings for new projects and conducting technical verification for bids. Additionally, you will gather information and explain bid strategies to management when bids are due for submission.

As a Technical Bid Manager, you can make a significant impact in driving industrial decarbonization and the adoption of renewable energy sources. You will develop expertise in electrification and energy storage systems such as Batteries, H2, Power to X, and CAES. Your experience in industrial automation and digitalisation will drive innovation in energy production and distribution. By integrating human and business interests, you will contribute to balanced project goals, promoting both environmental sustainability and economic stability.
What You Bring
To excel as a bid manager, you should have a technical background and possess strong personal skills with a good commercial drive. We value the following qualities:
- Extensive knowledge of business and contract operations to effectively collaborate with customers, management/colleagues, and external collaborators.
- Individuals who take initiative, collaborate well, think analytically, make informed decisions, achieve results, and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility, creativity, and an open-minded view. You are resourceful in finding alternative solutions when faced with challenges.
- Accurate and diligent. You ensure that all aspects of projects are done accurately, especially in complex and high-risk situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or combined Business and Engineering.
- Project management experience and familiarity with managing large industrial projects.
- Knowledge/experience in large drives, rotating equipment such as Turbines, MV switchgear will be an asset.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
