Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week.

Bristol has a clear vision for Adult Social Care with a new focus on providing the best possible service for young people drawing on care and support. We are recruiting for a talented Team Manager with Adult Care or Occupational Therapy experience to join our team.

What you'll be doing

You will be enthusiastic about hearing the voices of our young people, their parents and carers and using this to drive change and improve service delivery. As part of a new operating model designed to maximise the independence of young people in our city, you will collaborate with partners across Childrens, Education and SEND partnerships.

As one of the leaders for the service, you will lead the way to ensure the best possible response for young people aged 14-25 years in our service. Based at City Hall, you will support practitioners to work across locality areas reaching out to schools and community-based organisations. You will enjoy supporting consistency of approach in the completion of Care Act assessments and support plans leading to the commissioning of services to meet identified need where non-commissioned support, Technology, equipment, or wider community assets could not ensure independence outcomes.

What we are looking for

You will be a leader experienced in adult care operations with a social work, OT, or registered professional background. We will expect you to demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of legal frameworks, Safeguarding in the adults or children's settings. You will have a strong passion for Equalities and Inclusion to ensure young people thrive and develop strength from their uniqueness.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
