About the job

As Team Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing team of Occupational Therapist, Therapy Assistants and reablement workers who provide short term support to people with physical health needs in their own home.

You will ensure the service is delivered in line with best practice, legislation and local policies and that the outcomes and wellbeing of the clients are maximised.

You will work closely with other professionals and agencies to coordinate and integrate the reablement service with other parts of the system. You will promote a culture of person centredness, empowerment, independence and choice within your team and across the service.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant professional qualification ad registration with the appropriate regulatory body. This role is ideally suited to someone with an occupational therapy background though applications will be considered from qualified social workers
  • Significant experience of working with adults with physical health needs in a community setting
  • Proven experience of managing, supervising and developing staff
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of reablement, strength-based assessment, personalisation and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage conflicting demands
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
