Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria

• Registered nurse with NMC registration
• Educated to degree level in relevant subject.
• APLS
• Assessor

Desirable criteria

• Working towards Level 7 qualification
• Appropriate teaching qualification (prep for mentorship, 998)

Experience

Essential criteria

• Significant post qualification experience with relevant knowledge and experience
• Extensive Clinical Knowledge in the management and care of the acutely ill child
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
• Evidence and experience of audit and research
• Reference to appropriate communication and leadership skills

Desirable criteria

• Leadership Qualification
• Qualification in conflict resolution/civility

Skill

Essential criteria

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Participate and promote multi- professional patient care
• Continually update and develop the appropriate skills necessary for the delivery of care
• Evidence of Strong Leadership skills.
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
