Team Manager- Neighbourhood and Community- Preston

A wonderful opportunity has arisen to join the Children and Family Wellbeing Service in the Preston district. We are looking to recruit a Neighbourhood/Community Team Manager in a permanent role.

The Post holder will lead a team of operational delivery staff linked to the Neighbourhood and Community strand of our service in the defined geographical/district area of Preston. There are 20 team managers across the county providing one manager each for Intensive Support and Neighbourhood and Community across the 5 ICP footprints incorporating the district area groups: Lancaster, Wyre/Fylde, Preston, Chorley/South Ribble, West Lancashire, Hyndburn/ Ribble Valley, Rossendale, Burnley and Pendle. This model supports greater join up with partners including Health, Police, District Councils and VCFS. Aligning this structure to the "Team around the School and settings'' (TASS) model enables partners to work collaboratively and cohesively together to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

Community/Neighbourhood Team Managers will normally be based at the largest/most complex neighbourhood centres in their area now called Family Hubs and will have direct line management responsibility of the Community and Neighbourhood Senior Family Support Workers.
The Neighbourhood and Community Team Manager will oversee the delivery and quality of group work provision within our service, manage the delivery of Family Time provision and ensure the smooth running of our Family Hubs. They will also manage the Senior Family Support Workers leading on the development of our community offer alongside TASS.

Team Managers will be expected to develop strong relationships with partner agencies to ensure that the Children and Families in Preston receive the right help at the right time. Team Managers will be line managed by the Preston Integrated Service Manager. All service managers will be full time employees, involved periodically in rotas for the Standby response duty.
