Permanent, Part Time working 3 days per week (22.5 hrs).
We are looking for a part time committed and passionate Team Manager to lead one of our Kinship and SGO Teams who wants to support children living first and foremost within their family or extended network. To support families to provide children with the best quality warm and loving homes to create permanence for children in their minority and into their adult life.
To be successful in this role you will be someone who has a good knowledge of the legislation and regulations underpinning Fostering, Kinship Fostering and SGO assessment and support. You will need to understand the operational and statutory requirements of a Kinship, SGO and Fostering service including the relevant legislation and practice guidance.
This role also encompasses the service lead on Adoption. As the day-to-day lead on Adoption in the service, you will also need to have knowledge of adoption regulations guidance and statutory requirements. You will be able to advise on best practice within Adoption and support the Adoption tracking process.
You will be someone who has an awareness of an interest in therapeutic parenting and therapeutic parenting approaches for all children. You will be interested in understanding and developing best practice within the fostering, kinship and SGO service to support and enable our supervising social workers to provide our carers with excellent support and supervision.
You will be someone who is passionate about creating long term permanence for children. You will be someone who practices with compassion and kindness, and who is robust in adhering to the high standard of care we expect each of our children to receive and supporting others to do the same. You will have excellent safeguarding knowledge and be able to apply this to understand and analyse issues of risk and harm for children and carers including allegations. You will have experience of working with a diverse range of multi-agency colleagues.
You will have good written and IT skills and be able to understand and analyse key data to support your team performance and the performance of the fostering service. You will form part of the fostering service leadership team and therefore will also have a developmental role and lead within the service in addition to the oversight, supervision and support of your own team.
This role at times will require some flexible working in response to the needs of our foster and SGO carers, service and social workers.
