Job Description
We are hiring a Team Manager on a 12 month FTC opportunity, to join our Group Protection department.
You will pro-actively lead and develop a team to help them be the best they can be, while monitoring and improving overall service to our customers and stakeholders. Demonstrating exceptional relationship, leadership, coaching and motivational skills.
You will work Monday-Friday on a hybrid basis in our Hove office and earna base salary of up to £43,000, dependant on experience.
What you'll be doing
- Inspire, coach, and empower individuals to build an engaged, high-performing team, measured through staff feedback and retention
- Lead change with agility by encouraging team input, collaborating with experts, and communicating clearly to embed improvements
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and customers, representing GP Operations to maintain and grow business opportunities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk requirements to protect customers, colleagues, and shareholders
- Take ownership of personal development and confidently support or deputise for the service delivery manager when needed
- Use customer and team feedback to identify service gaps and drive continuous improvement
- Manage the team in line with company policies to consistently achieve business objectives
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Group Protection/ Group Risk experience (Desirable) Product, system, and processes used with the business area Regulatory and operational risk awareness Understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Able to communicate with, and influence colleagues at all levels, adapting communication styles to suit the audience and messaging
- Able to resolve and diffuse escalations and complaints through problem solving, initiative and influence
- Able to form strong internal and external relationships. Can use a variety of coaching and leadership skills. Actively listens and understands customer/ team's needs
- Self-motivated and uses own initiative Approaches challenges and problems with a determination to succeed Able to source, analyse and act upon insight
- Leading teams either in a leadership role or deputising role. Helps lead change and is willing to work flexibly. Effectively plans their time and makes timely decisions
