Team Managers x 2 - Barnet West Core Community Mental Health Team and Barnet South Core Community Mental Health Teams

BAND 8A plus HCAS - Permanent

Teams: Barnet West Core Community Mental Health Team and Barnet South Core Mental Health Team.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

To provide leadership in the West and South Core Community Teams and the wider service we are recruiting for 2 Team Manager- Band 8A. The role is full time Monday to Friday 9-5 based between Springwell Centre, Barnet and Redhill Clinic, Edgware and other sites within the Borough.

We will also focus resources on reaching those who currently face obstacles in getting the help they need.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be accountable for the allocation, deployment, prioritisation and delivery of community mental health services and for implementing and reviewing systems, policies, standards and procedures that ensure the provision of high quality services with frameworks agreed by the Trust and the Social Care. The post holder has overall responsibility for the management and development of integrated community mental health services in the area covered by the Team.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria

  • Registered core profession: • Social Work/SWE registered or BIA or Practice Assessor Or • RMN + evidence of post -basic study or OT • qualification or Psychology qualification or Psychotherapy qualification

Desirable criteria

  • Nurse/Social Work Practice Assessor BIA trained Qualified AMHP

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience in mental health Management
  • experience Staff supervision
  • Knowledge of audit tools and protocols
  • Mental Health Act 1983 as amended 2007 Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005

Desirable criteria

  • Consultation & negotiation with commissioning authorities
  • Experience of using Dialog + and the Management and Supervision Tool (MaST

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Essential criteria

  • Risk management
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Written and verbal skills for face-to-face work with clients, letter and report writing and multidisciplinary negotiations and discussions
