Are you an experienced Team Manager looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic, passionate Team Manager for one of our Family Support Teams who can work collaboratively to empower children and their families, and keep them safe from harm.

Rated 'Outstanding' across all areas by Ofsted in 2024, Thurrock Council are now looking forward to not only maintaining an outstanding rating, but striving to make further improvements in our service delivery. Are you the compassionate Team Manager who will support social workers to empower our families on this next part of our journey?

Our Family Support Service allows for a wide breadth of experience working with Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and completing court work. We provide a variety of training so you can grow and continue to be proud of your work. We also champion internal progression, giving you the opportunity to grow and develop alongside a team of supportive leaders. Are you a caring, influential and ambitious leader?

In addition, our package of support includes;

  • Generous annual leave entitlement - 25 days rising to 30 after 5 years continuous service
  • Flexible working to enable work/life balance
  • Protected Reflective supervision and performance reviews to support development with systemic approaches to support.
  • Excellent training opportunities and an established CPD programme including Signs of Safety and Trauma Informed Practice training
  • Employee Assistance Programme to access counselling, advice or any extra support needed
