In the Team Manager role, you will be:
- Assist the Section Manager in managing workflow, ensuring timely decisions on referrals within statutory limits.
- Overseeing case management to produce quality assessments and outcome-focused care plans to safeguard children and support families within the community and care system.
- Monitoring and supervising team performance, audit case files, and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
- Mentor and support social workers, chair complex casework meetings, and manage enquiries and investigations.
- Deputising for the Section Manager as needed, ensuring continuity in service delivery and budget management.
To be successful, you will need:
- DIPSW or equivalent qualification and registered with Social Care Wales.
- Previous experience in a similar role, including supervisory / management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of child protection procedures, outcome-based planning.
- IT and admin proficiency.
- A proven track record in service development, multi-agency collaboration, and effective case management.
- Excellent communication and workload management skills.
This is a temporary position for initially 2 months, working full time, Monday to Friday. You'll be starting on a salary of £36 per hour and you'll be based in offices in Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
