This is a great opportunity to join Bristol's expanding Post 16 Service, which supports children preparing to leave care and our care leavers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Manager who shares our passion for leading practice with refugee and asylum-seeking care leavers to join and lead our newly established specialist team.

We are seeking a manager who is enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious who can work systemically to lead and develop staff, the service and our local offer for refugee and asylum-seeking care leavers . The role includes oversight and line management of up to ten members of staff (personal advisers, support workers and administrative staff) and our statutory support to refugee and asylum-seeking care leavers .

You will have knowledge and experience of care and pathway planning, age assessments, asylum claims, and direct purposeful work with young people.

We seek to be ambitious corporate parents for our young people and the Team Manager role is exciting, busy, and demanding. You will need to be organised, flexible and solution focussed to lead and inspire others.

This role sits within the wider Post 16 Service supporting children in care and care leavers aged 16-25. There are seven teams, two dedicated to asylum seeking children and refugee and asylum-seeking care leavers , one child in care transitions team, a post 21 team and three generic care leaver teams.

We are based at B Bond in an open plan office overlooking the river and Ashton Court. We have high aspirations for our children and young people and are committed to providing services to achieve the best possible outcomes.
