Job Details

We are looking for a committed and experienced individual to become the team manager of the Kinship Children and Families Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of planning and decision making in relation to children's plans, and to ensure that statutory duties are carried out. You will be responsible for quality assuring Kinship Assessments to ensure they are robust and thorough.

As the manager of Fife's Kinship Social Work team you will be responsible for delivering a quality service to our most vulnerable children and families. In line with "the promise" the Kinship Team play a pivotal role in keeping children in their communities with families. It is essential that you are motivated and passionate about Kinship Care to ensure the positive developments within Fife continue to move forward.

You will represent Fife Social Work's Kinship Team across a variety of strategic groups - both at a local and national level. Ensuring the profile of the Kinship Team in Fife remains known. You will work with partners across a variety of services to ensure they deliver a quality service for Kinship Carers and their families.

You will be required to travel efficiently and effectively throughout the course of the job.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
