As our Teacher of Geography, you'll lead the way in delivering outstanding education to our students, with a particular focus on Key Stage 5. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging and stimulating Geography lessons that ignite curiosity and passion in our students.
  • Providing high-quality teaching and support to students, empowering them to excel academically and develop a deep appreciation for geographical concepts.
  • Taking the lead in shaping the Key Stage 5 Geography curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, rigorous, and inspiring.
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues within the Geography department, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Implementing strategies to monitor student progress and enhance learning outcomes, including effective assessment and feedback practices.
  • Engaging with parents, carers, and external partners to promote the importance of geographical education and its relevance to the wider world.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography, preferably at Key Stage 5 level.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for driving academic excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • A commitment to promoting global awareness and environmental sustainability through education.
  • Experience of leading on Careers Guidance is desirable
