Salary - competitive dependent on experience
Hours - Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working - following successful completion of probation period
Holiday - 25 days annual leave or 20 days annual leave if on a training contract (excluding bank holidays)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Senior/ Tax Manager in our Lewes office.
We are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first class service to our clients in both compliance and advisory areas. This role will involve assisting tax managers in managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients.
Key responsibilities of a Tax Senior/ Tax Manager will include:
- preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client's such as; sole traders, partnerships, alongside company directors and those with rental income
- review of corporation tax returns prepared by accounts department
- managing a varied portfolio including tax planning, tax compliance
- preparation of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
- preparing ERS and EMI returns
- preparing forms P11D & P11D(b) and PSA calculations
- working closely with clients, other members of the tax team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare Self-Assessment Returns
- ad hoc work relating to capital gains tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate work
- liaising directly with HMRC in relation to personal tax matters
- maintaining and updating company databases in order to track/ monitor client progress
About you -
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- ATT qualified or qualified by experience
- 3-4 years' tax and accounting experience, ideally practice
- good tax knowledge
- experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
- strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
