Tax Senior - Haymarket - London

Salary - £40k to £45k depending on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working

Holiday - 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

We have an exciting role for a Tax Senior in our London office in Haymarket.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years tax and accounting experience. The role will involve assisting tax managers in managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients.

Key responsibilities of a Tax Senior will include:

• preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client's such as; sole traders, partnerships, alongside company directors and those with rental income
• managing a varied portfolio including tax planning, tax compliance
• preparation of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
• preparing forms P11D & P11D(b)
• working closely with clients, other members of the tax team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare Self-Assessment Returns
• ad hoc work relating to capital gains tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate work
• liaising directly with HMRC in relation to personal tax matters
• maintaining and updating company databases in order to track/ monitor client progress

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• ATT or ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
• 3 to 4 year's tax and accounting experience with an accountancy practice
• good tax knowledge, corporation tax knowledge would be ideal but not essential
• experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
• strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
