About the role...
Are you an experienced qualified tax professional looking for your next challenge? Do you love finding solutions to clients' problems and adding value to their businesses?
Our Business Services and Outsourcing department are growing, and we're currently seeking a Tax Compliance Manager or Assistant Manager to join them on their journey, focusing on servicing a portfolio of Local OMB clients.
About the team...
Our Local client team provide a holistic service to small business owners and directors, offering support which not only helps them with their strategic aspirations for their companies but also their personal and family's financial goals. They combine their expertise with an empathetic approach to provide a truly personalised service with is unique to each client's situation and needs.
About the day to day...
You'll be working with a diverse portfolio of business owners, getting stuck into a broad range of tasks and responsibilities, including;
- Working alongside our accounting colleagues, you will be managing the tax compliance processes to ensure that tax returns are filed on a timely basis and clients are advised of tax payments
- Building relationships with clients and proactively dealing with their needs
- Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients and looping in our dedicated tax team where appropriate
The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further - from Managers to Partners, the team are always happy to support you.

In addition to those core values, as a Tax Compliance Manager or Assistant Manager you should;
- Be CTA or AAT/ACA or ACCA with relevant tax experience
- Have experience working in a practice environment, across both Personal Tax (Essential) and Business Tax (Desirable)
- Be able to build strong client relationships and deliver an outstanding client experience
- Have excellent project management and communications skills and a genuine passion and drive for "getting stuff done"
- Have a hunger for continuous improvement and a curiosity for finding the best way of doing things!
- Able to work within a fast-paced practice environment
- Have experience using a range of tax software, notably IRIS and Alphatax
