Talent & Performance Development Manager

Base Location: UK Wide with travel to our Canary Wharf office monthly

The role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced, client-centric HR professional or CoE manager. With exposure to a complex, fast-changing environment, you'll contribute to key talent and performance development initiatives and workstreams, helping us develop and retain our talent.

This role is part of the CoE responsible for defining the approach to our UK firm-wide Talent Management and Performance Development initiatives.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to the design, scoping and project management of workstreams aligned to the evolution of our Performance Development approach, Talent Management initiatives including career development, evolution of our promotions approach and other firm-wide T&PD projects to attract and retain high performing and diverse talent.
  • Build robust, consultative and engaging relationships with stakeholders and matrix groups throughout full project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrate good commercial acumen, contributing relevant, market-informed ideas on key talent and performance approaches and frameworks, ensuring the CoE is known for its insight-led decision making.
  • Recommend and lead continuous improvements that will contribute to the retention of our high performing and diverse talent and our colleague-centric culture of a positive employee experience, rewarding career, inclusive culture.
  • Build and utilise data analytics, reporting and insights from talent and performance development data to inform and support continuous improvement, decision making and recommend action plans based on insights from the data.
  • Critical to this role is the ability to influence and build partnerships with multiple stakeholders at all levels (e.g., Heads of HR, other HR CoEs, HRBPs, Performance Leaders, Performance Managers).

What will you need to do it?

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Talent Management and Performance Development best practices and external insights to help inform and shape the UK firm's overall approach and workstreams.
  • Have external/market awareness and understanding of relevant industry trends and challenges in the Talent and Performance Development space.
  • Experience of designing and rolling out long-term, large-scale Talent or Performance Development programs, policies and frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to forward plan, define pragmatic solutions and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build strong internal networks quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including leading presentations, project workstreams, contributing to the preparation of comprehensive reports, presentations and action plans. Able to build a 'story' using data insights.
  • Excellent data analytics capability, using data to inform and evaluate talent and performance development initiatives.
  • Strong drive and resilience, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and handle ambiguity effectively.
  • Flexible, consultative, and highly collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrable commitment to on-going personal development.
