Hybrid working: currently in the office 1-2 days per week

Reports to: UK&I Tax Learning Leader

Direct Reports: Assistant Talent Development Managers and Learning Deployment Specialists

Are you ready to take on a key role in Talent Development? Join us as a Talent Development Manager for the UK&I Tax & Law practice and be at the forefront of deploying an effective learning curriculum aligned with our UK&I Tax & Law strategy.

The Opportunity:

The UK&I Tax Talent Development (TD) Team is dedicated to meeting the learning needs of our Tax & Law practice. We are looking for a Talent Development Manager who can develop and deliver on the learning and development priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Learning: own a portfolio and engage with business stakeholders to identify learning needs, align with EY Learning and Tax & Law learning strategy, and ensure strategic priorities are included in the curriculum planning process. Collaborate with colleagues in the wider TD team to ensure the best solution is identified and developed.
  • Design & Develop Learning: Create learning deliverables, drive virtualisation/blended learning, engage SMEs for technical design, manage learning programs, and contribute to Tax & Law learning investment projects. There may also be opportunities to contribute to broader strategic projects on an ad hoc basis.
  • Deploy Learning: Develop and manage learning deployment plans and budgets, drive course uptake, manage facilitator excellence, and oversee external vendor services.
  • Enable Learners: Curate learning maps, manage communication channels, engage sponsors, and drive learning uptake.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, accruals, recharges, and vendor invoicing for your portfolio.
  • Measure Learning Impact: Evaluate learning impact, review program feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Learning Facilitation: Facilitate learning programs and host sessions as required.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop the team, act as a counsellor, coach, mentor, and participate in recruitment as required.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Significant experience in learning deployment, design, and facilitation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness.
  • Proven stakeholder management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, engage, and influence others.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Team management, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and knowledge of SharePoint and learning platforms.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Strong line management and coaching skills.
  • Experience in developing on-the-job coaching skills in others.
  • Interest in technology innovation, including Gen AI, would be useful but not essential
