This role is advertised as a 12 month fixed term contract, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week, based in our lovely head office - Union.

The team you'll join:

You'll join a team of experts across People functions including; generalist People Coordinator/Advisor/Partnering, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Culture and Engagement.

What we're looking for in a nutshell:

We are keen to see applications from candidates with a background in Learning and Development (L&D), potentially with broader HR experience, who have specialised in Diversity & Inclusion work and programmes. Hands-on experience managing and leading programmes and initiatives, with a proven track record of delivering impactful outcomes is crucial.

While this is not a strategy development role, we are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and think broadly, to implement and sustain our Diversity & Inclusion and Talent strategies effectively. Leadership experience is important for us as you'll lead and coach Learning & Development team members as well as indirectly lead and manage colleagues through our D&I programme. You'll be able to work autonomously, take initiative, and adapt quickly without needing extensive direction. Additional qualifications in leadership training, coaching, or development would be great, but they're not totally essential to the role if you have proven experience of working in this space. Ultimately, this role is ideal for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and make an immediate impact.

Job purpose:

The role of the Talent Development and D&I Manager is to drive and deliver the D&I strategy across the Bruntwood Group to make sure we are cultivating an inclusive culture of learning and high performance. It will provide strategic leadership to the Learning & Development team, making sure that our learning interventions are aligned with business needs, and it will provide development and support to our Leadership teams.

What you'll be doing:

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Build on and deliver the Bruntwood Group Diversity and Inclusion strategy, embedding inclusivity into the business
  • Partner with the broader People & Talent team, leaders and our colleague networks to identify and address barriers to diversity and inclusion.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of D&I initiatives, providing regular reporting and insights to leadership.
  • Drive awareness and education on inclusive practices through workshops, training, and communication campaigns, working with our Colleague Communications Lead, Culture & Engagement Manager, and colleague networks.
  • Act as a champion for diversity in leadership recruitment, retention, and succession planning strategies.

Talent Development

  • Provide management and leadership to the Learning and Development team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and learning needs across the organisation.
  • Coach the team on design, implementation, and evaluation of engaging learning programmes to enhance skill development, career progression, and business capability.

Leadership Development

  • Evolve and implement leadership development, equipping current and emerging leaders with the skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Partner with the Board and Exec Management Team to identify leadership development needs and align initiatives with business needs.
  • Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and training programmes that promote leadership effectiveness and growth.
  • Monitor and measure the success of leadership initiatives, adjusting approaches to maximise impact.
