Salary - Between £43,680 - £60,000 plus annual bonus & benefits

Location -Edinburgh or Glasgow, Permanent

Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to all our offices as required for this position.

We're looking for a Talent and Capability Manager to join our People Team supporting Insurance and Money Services. This is an exciting time to join Insurance and Money Services and play a key role in influencing our overall organisational capability. You'll work in a small team and have the opportunity to work closely with our Insurance and Money Services Leadership Team and the wider Tesco People team.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and deliver the approach, plans and implementation of core products and services to support the ongoing development, progression, and retention of Tesco colleagues.
  • Support the overall capability strategy, drawing on and leveraging existing Tesco Group products, resources, and frameworks to identify development needs and solutions.
  • Own a robust approach to talent management, aligning with Tesco Group on the talent and performance cycles and the continued embedding of Your Contribution.
  • Own the DE&I delivery plan to support an improvement in representation, progression, and inclusive culture.
  • Influence and evolve the culture through work on values, behaviours, and other enablers.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and review of Career Planning policies and processes.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and controls specific to your area of ownership, and monitor their implementation and ongoing review.

We need you to have

  • Excellent consulting and critical analysis skills.
  • Able to analyse data and present information in a clear and compelling way (written and verbal).
  • Previous experience of developing culture and DEI plans that effect meaningful organisational change.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work to ensure value is delivered quickly to colleagues.
  • Ability to partner across functions and team, and with stakeholders from Group and with external partners / suppliers.

And if you have any of these, even better

  • Programme and Project Management experience.
  • Experience of working with external partners and suppliers.
  • Experience of working with a Group stakeholder.

Role Alignment

Following the announcement regarding Tesco's strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our Insurance and Money Services team and will remain with Tesco.
