Join UKTV as a Talent Acquisition Manager and play a pivotal role in our transformation to become a truly digital-first business. You will be responsible for attracting and hiring top-tier digital talent across diverse skillsets. As we enhance our digital offerings, you will collaborate with leadership to implement effective recruitment strategies and ensure our teams stay updated on industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

Digital-First Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement innovative digital recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the digital space.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify key talent pools and optimize recruitment efforts.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging digital trends and technologies to ensure our recruitment practices remain relevant.

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with UKTV's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify critical talent needs and develop plans to fill these roles.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies as needed to ensure we attract the best talent.

Talent Mapping:

  • Conduct in-depth talent mapping to identify key skills and potential candidates within the market both for now and as part of our wider SWP efforts.
  • Develop talent pipelines for critical roles to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.
  • Build relationships with industry experts and thought leaders to stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities.

Senior Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, hiring managers, and HR.
  • Effectively communicate recruitment plans and progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Influence senior leadership to support strategic talent acquisition initiatives and secure necessary resources.

Influencing Hiring Community:

  • Educate and guide hiring managers on best practices for attracting and selecting top-tier talent.
  • Provide training and coaching on interviewing techniques, candidate assessment, and diversity and inclusion considerations.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and high standards within the hiring community.
  • Use data to ensure we are hiring the most diverse talent pool we can and make this a priority for HM's.

Candidate Sourcing:

  • Conduct targeted candidate searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, and other sourcing channels.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of potential candidates.
  • Utilize employer branding strategies to attract passive candidates.

Diversity and Inclusion:

  • Champion D&I initiatives, ensuring we attract a diverse talent pool and create inclusive hiring practices.
  • Develop and implement D&I recruitment strategies.
  • Own 50/20/12/12 SDE and gender pay for their work (Reword)
  • Report on D&I progress to the wider BBCS group when required.

ATS Management:

  • Maintain and optimize our ATS to streamline recruitment processes and ensure data integrity.
  • Train hiring managers and HR staff on ATS usage.
  • Regularly review and update ATS configurations to improve efficiency.

Candidate Experience:

  • Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process, from initial contact to offer acceptance.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback to candidates, even if they are not selected for a role.

Team Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure a seamless recruitment process.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture within the talent acquisition team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Experience:

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on digital roles.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing, recruitment best practices, and talent mapping techniques.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion initiatives in hiring.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience contributing to wider talent business initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform recruitment decisions.
  • Ideally, experience working within a larger HR function.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of digital trends and technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
